Hitler’s great Panzer heist : Germany’s foreign armor in action, 1939-45 – Anthony Tucker-Jones (8/10)

This was an enlightening read and a journey of discovery as you understand that the Germans not only plundered Europe for gold and art, they also took anything that was not nailed down so far as Armour, trucks, cars and artillery.

There are some definite modelling possibilities in the book. Explains how foreign tanks made the German blitzkrieg of 1939-41 possible and there use in the battle of Kursk, the Battle of the Bulge, and throughout occupation forces across Europe.

I was amazed at just how many items the German’s stole from the British, Czech, French, Italian, Polish, and Soviet units to feed the war machine. At one point more than 25 percent of the German tank force was of foreign origin.
